Ayutthaya - Week#1


   Actually I was born in Ayutthaya but I have a less of knowledge about Ayutthaya history,an especially the great Temples and the historical place , So that's why I want to take opportunity for plan to have a weekly trip to Ayutthaya and keeping you an update my Blog , its may not nice too much but its my beginning ,I will try my best


Week#1 - 31 March 2013


   Today is my first start to concentrate to visit my hometown in Ayutthaya Island , which will be broadcast from real attractions on my journey
Below are my destination for a days in Ayutthaya on first week

  1. BANN Watcharachai- Thai restaurant
  2. WAT Krasattrathirat Worawihan
  3. The Monument of King NARESOUN THE GREAT
  4. Phukaothong


Fisrt Place -BANN Watcharachai- Thai restaurant



   For my journey I am NOT to take any specially  transportation ,just took my car and drive from my second home in SAMUTPRAKARN Province , its take about a hour to reached Ayutthaya ( Super car )
   I am reached Ayutthaya about 1.30 pm so there is no any interest to do , excepted EATING (haha) So I driving two the place I was been there one time , on that day this restaurant has one big boat in front of their but now its gone due to the worst flood on October 2011
   The worst flood on 2011 , I remember that I went to Adelaide SA South of Australia  on 11 September 2011 before flood I having follow every morning news and saw all of 100% of Ayutthaya Island got flood , Its so sad to seeing that on the news , I plan to stay in SA 2 months but I can stay only a month there , I fly back an early November
Watcharachai Thai restaurant is original Thai style furnishings and the foods really an ancient-Thai
   I have order three main dishes and paid only 630 Thai Baht , so cheap

Getting there ; From the town U-Thong street and keep left to across the bride and turn right
Pros ; Cool atmosphere with lush fruit trees Thailand and the antique show in the corner on a wooden chair to blend in with the store
Open-Close ; 10.00am-09.00pm
Menu ; Shrimp baked, Fried fish, Chili Shrimp  


     Second place - WAT Krasattrathirat Worawihan




   Here is the evidence from an ancient temple Ayutthaya , formerly known as “ KASATTRA TEMPLE”
Presumably by the definition of measurement, it is a temple of the King the district of old west is back with the field called “ FIELD PRA-CHET” It is the field of WAR between Burmese army and Ayutthaya many times . in the 1767 WAT KRASATTRA is the area where Burmese army is entrenched and the temple was destroy and eventually deserted
In side the temple has a lot of Golden Buddha , they are so beautiful ever and ever , you can wish and pray for who you are love

Getting there ; After took lunch from Watcharachai restaurant you can walking from there to KASATTRA in couple minutes only 


    Third Place - The Monument of King NARESOUN THE GREAT


   Here is built to commemorate THE KING NARESOUN the greatest in 1574
Led his army from Nongbua Lampu to Vientiane by the assignment of the king of Hongsa,or the kingdom of Burma which rule Thailand at that time , As King NARESOUN got sick,King of Hongsa allowed him to get back to Ayutthaya . The venue where King NARESOUN set camp is in the compound around Nong Bua park,in front of Nong Bua Lampu’s city hall ,every year during JAN 25 – FEB 3,celebrations and Ceremonies are held to honour KING NARESOUN
   THE KING NARESOUN is the great of Ayutthaya if would NOT have him , we shall have no the great world of heritage of today

     Last place of this week – Phukaothong


   Very easy to go Phukao Thong it is just behide The Monument of King NARESOUN THE GREAT and take only 5 - 10 minutes only
It was said in the Ayutthaya chronicle that WAT Phukoa Thong was constructed in the reign of KING Ramesoun or in early Ayutthaya period , but the details of construction was not mentioned,it iwas also stated that when King Burengnong got victory over Ayutthaya in the first war in 1569,he commissioned constructing a chedi to cover the orginal one , but the details about the form of Pagoda was not mentioned
   After Ayutthaya was completely destroyed in the second time, Wat Phukhao Thong had been deserted, but the main Pagoda has still been interested by Buddhists who still come to pay homage
